My computer reads to me, I finished my giveaway on Goodreads, and Severance is nearly set for publishing

Life is good. I never say that, not because it's false, but because I'm always afraid of jinxing myself.
First of all, I want to talk about this fabulous new element in my editing process--my computer reads to me. Yes, I sit down with a bag of hot cheetos and a cup of green tea, and my fancy little Asus laptop reads to me in that creepy computer voice. It's not QUITE 2001: A Space Odyssey, but it's close. And let's be real, being close to 2001: A Space Odyssey is always a delicate place.

That's a typo, Cathy. It can only be attributable to human error.
Secondly, I would like to congratulate the six winners of my Goodreads giveaway. Winners, I have mailed your copies and if you're in the US, they should arrive by the end of next week. International winners, it will take a bit longer, but I have put in the order.

The giveaway was a nice way for me to get exposure. Now I don't have to tweet like a spammy bitch and bug everyone who follows me. I had 991 entrants and am now on nearly 800 to-reads shelves on Goodreads. I'm well aware that only a fraction of those people will ever think about my book again, and an even smaller number will buy it, but my internet footprint is officially larger than my carbon footprint, which is something that I (and my pals up at Greenpeace) can cheer for.

But anyway, I'm sitting around and waiting for my beta readers to return Severance to me. Hopefully soon. My part is done. I just need a blurb and I'm good to go. And I would like to announce that I will NOT be putting Severance on KDP Select. It will be immediately on Nook and Kobo and any other place I can, because I'm not gonna let KDP Select bring me down.
